Chuckles The Clown

(not for kids trust me!)

Chris Cross the magician dressed as a hick clown called Chuckles this act involves popping balloons filled with blood mixed with an electric screwdriver followed by a half strip and then a stomach churning angle grinding of his crotch!

This act can be added on to his magic, contortionist or escapologist acts or as a stand alone act.

Chirs Cross

Escape artist and contortionist act.

This Multi-Award Winning, High Energy, One Man Comedy Speciality Freakshow!!! He will perform his Contortion Tricks followed by a big escape from 20metres of Chains, a Straitjacket, Etc...The Show can last anytime between a 10mins and an hour depending on the requirement and can be performed ANYWHERE! This show has Supported: Pendulum, Bloc Party, Giles Peterson, The Stanton Warriors and More...!

Chris reigns as one of the top Escapologists in the UK and performs both standard and exclusive customised escapes around the world for corporate events, trade shows, product launches and promotions, festivals, theatres, comedy clubs and so on…!

Chris starts his Cabaret Show by ‘Warming-Up’ his body by performing some contortionism moves that really get the ‘Freaked Out Factor’ spread around the audience! Dancing with his bones, making his shoulder blade look like a chicken wing, clapping with his elbows, skipping with his arms – all performed in a comedy manner - general madness…(!) For the big finale Chris has the audience cheering and whooping on their feet as he makes his big escape! Chris can escape from a straitjacket to 50metres of clingfilm, from a giant sized company product to restraints inside a new convertible - whatever suits the event!

His Cabaret show can go from a 5min corporate icebreaker to an hour-long one-man show so the shows duration is between 5mins and an hour depending on what will work best for the event. As for Close-Up Magic, he generally performs for an hour, 2hours or longer...
The Show has received much praise and was included in the 'Top 10 Speciality Acts Currently Working the Circuit' article recently in 'The Stage' Magazine, London.

Alongside the Cabaret and Stage Shows, Chris is a member of the Northern Magic Circle and is respectively a highly skilled and very much charactered(!) Close-Up Magician. Combining quick wit and talent, Chris can perform walkabout, meet and greet, mix and mingle Close-Up Magic. regular performances at casinos, nightclubs, corporate events, VIP parties, celebrity after-parties and so on...

Chris is a very much ‘stand out’ character what with his crazy hair, tall towering structure and his trademark yellow and black, he is certainly someone who can attract a lot of attention and make the most of the abundance of attention he manages to gather. Chris isn’t a crusty old Magician, if it’s the fresh and funky, modern and stylish, cool and professional image and approach you want to go for, Chris Cross is the BEST Entertainer for the job - combining quick wit, charm and talent with his bags of confidence alongside his gelling, engaging personality he has with his spectators, he provides a service to definitely be remembered and talked about for years later.

PA system, large spider-frame backdrop and makeshift stage can be provided if required. Chris is a member of Equity and he's CRB checked.

‘His real skill is in creating an atmosphere of complete lunacy which infects your mind and leaves you questioning whether the sane world still exists. To say he is a natural showman is a gross understatement – the 19-year-old has already been a street performer for a decade and appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, and can handle an audience like a piece of putty. His body-bending stunts merely provide a vehicle for a comedy act that’s as slick as it is screwball, delivered in an outrageous, Russell Brand-esque persona.’ – Nuala Calvi, The Stage Magazine (Edinburgh Festival 2008 Review)

Chris Bylett & Co

ventriloquist

One of the top 'Comedy-Spesh' acts in the UK with extensive experience in TV, Concert and Cabaret, both at 'Home' and Overseas (incl. Cruising). Chris has had over 50 TV & Radio appearances, including ‘Brainiac’ (with Charlie), ‘Casualty’, the ’AA’ TV advert (with ‘Stan’), ‘The Weakest Link’ (where Chris used Ms. Robinson as his ’dummy’ !!), ‘Guys ‘n’ Dolls’, ‘The BIG Breakfast’, ‘Make My Day’……...

Rated by trade newspaper 'The Stage' as one of the Top-10 Vents in the UK, here are some genuine quotes: “..most polished of all ventriloquists..”;  “..a name synonymous with the superior end of the business of Ventriloquism..”;  “..a formidable live act with a reputation built on all-round appeal”;  “.. years of operatic training have bequeathed him the legacies of a magnificent (singing) voice and a system of breath-control which makes him one of the best ventriloquial technicians in the business.”

He is also much in demand as a close-up/meet-and-greet magician and is a very popular children’s entertainer (presenting both magic shows and circus skills workshops)

He can work either fully-self-contained (own PA) or through in-house PA, whilst still being able to control all his stage effects via a pre-mix system built into his stage props. He also has 7-piece band parts and will always work with backing musicians if appropriate/feasible. Chris’ ability to adjust/adapt his performance to any type of audience makes him one of the most popular all-round entertainers on the circuit !!

Dave Lucas Caricaturist

Dave Lucas is available for bookings to appear at your social event. These may include corporate functions, Weddings, Charity fundraisers, sports club parties and celebrity autograph signings.
He can vary the level of detail in each picture depending upon the amount of time available to produce a portrait for everyone.

He can be available for as long as needed, but the typical duration of past bookings has been about 3 hours.
In this case, Dave usually limits the time for each portrait to 8 – 10 minutes, and produces an A3 portrait in Black and white.

For themed events, Dave can produce a batch of pre-drawn bodies in a theme of your choice, and simply draw attendees’ faces on them so as to get more people drawn in the time available

Paul Raymonde Caricaturist

Profile:

Paul Raymonde is one of Britain's leading caricaturists with more than 20 years experience. During this period he has contributed drawings to many major publications (Punch, Private Eye, Reader's Digest, Radio Times, Mail on Sunday and the Observer to name but a few). Paul however specialises in ‘on-the-spot’ caricaturing as a fascinating and unique form of entertainment. He is in great demand at parties, weddings, and all sorts of business functions where he delights his audience by drawing his charming and incisive caricatures of the guests.

Paul works sitting, standing, or circulating amongst the guests sketching them rapidly, both head and body. This mobility means that he can work with equal ease in receptions, at dinner tables or in trade shows and marketing events. He draws in ink and toned markers, which dry instantly onto 250gsm velvet card and presents his drawings to your guests in a smart protective envelope so they can safely take them home.

On average he can produce up to 15 drawings per hour.

Whether it’s a special party or a wedding, a corporate function or a promotion, you will want to let your guests have something to remember both you and the occasion. Time permitting, if Paul is able to obtain your name or company logo or any special message that you would like to print, he will prepare your own drawing paper, making each caricature a personalised souvenir of the event. (£30 supplement.)

We are more than pleased to recommend  the talents of John Leszczynski his classical and contemporary guitar style and vast musical repertoire attributed greatly to the success of our Centenary Celebration Dinner Dance at Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire.  All of our members and guests at this black tie gourmet dinner event commented how Johns playing during both the garden champagne reception and  the meal contributed to making this a very special  and memorable occasion.
